Biff Gunes (pronounced /bɪf/, as in "biff") is a strength phenomenon, philosopher of the pump, and the sole verified practitioner of The Biff Method™.[1] The scholarly consensus that he is "extremely buff" has stood unchallenged in peer review since 2019, making it one of the most stable findings in modern science.[2]
Little is documented of Gunes's early life, as historians were reportedly "not ready". He first entered public record in 2019, when he carried the entire WLR chat during what analysts describe as its heaviest era.[3] In 2021 he deadlifted a Volvo 740 in a single motion; the vehicle's owner later stated the car "drove better afterwards". The Swedish Transport Agency has neither confirmed nor denied re-certifying the vehicle as a free weight.
Gunes's career has not been without dispute. The 2023 protein shake incident remains contested by scholars, with leading theories ranging from "there was no shaker" to "there was only shaker".[4] Gunes has declined every request for comment, being mid-set at the time of each. As of 2026, the set is believed to be ongoing.
